I seek to live a spiritual life, but no longer think of myself as being "religious". No one religion holds all of the answers for me; I have made it my life's work to study several religions in depth and seek to continue with these studies until the end of my days on this planet. My education includes a B.A. in Biblical Studies, an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling, an M.Div. and a Ph.D. in Metaphysics. I am also a certified Healing Touch Practitioner.
Among my favorite places in the world: Portand, Maine; Seatle Washington; London, England; Gangnang, South Korea and Assisi, Italy. I could easily make my home in Florence, Italy. I have made my home in Portland, Maine; South Korea and the Philippines.
Among my favorite foods: lobster, steamed clams, Rhode Island clam cakes, calamari, gelato, black tea with cream and sugar, pasta, tacos and burritos, babyback ribs, vegetables cooked on a grill, a good BLT.
I love going to the movies, museums, classical concerts, Yani concerts, the ballet and live theater. I'm old enough to have seen Jesus Christ, Superstar live in San Francisco when it first came out, and young enough to have giggled my way through Johnny Depp and been in awe watching Avitar.
Learning is important to me, and I never want to stop. My taste in writers is very eclectic: Thomas Moore (especially his books Care of the Soul and A Religion of One's Own); Mercedes Lackey; Marion Zimmer Bradley; T. Thorn Coyle; Logospilgrim; Deepak Chopra are among my favorites.
